Join us for an unparalleled opportunity to serve as a Community Outreach Volunteer, tailored for individuals aged 18 and above who harbor a keen interest in pursuing a career in environmental studies and outdoor recreation within the non-profit sector. Volunteers will be transported by boat to Calf Island and perform general maintenance with YMCA and US Fish & Wildlife staff.

- The YMCA of Greenwich is seeking volunteers to help maintain Calf Island, a small island located offshore in Greenwich, CT, part of the Stewart B. McKinney National Wildlife Refuge. - Assist in the development and implementation of educational materials and presentations to effectively communicate key conservation messages. - Stay informed about current wildlife conservation issues, research findings, and best practices to enhance outreach strategies. - Serve as an ambassador for wildlife conservation by promoting responsible interactions with wildlife and habitats.
