Dates: September 3-June 23; Monday-Fridays Minimum Commitment: 8 weeks Must attend 80% of registered days Sign-up for 1 or multiple days to volunteer each week (for a minimum of 8 weeks) Time: 2:00p -6:00p Age: 14+ Description: Volunteers will assist with homework help, general supervision, program/activity support, and overall participant engagement.

Join us for an unparalleled opportunity to serve as a Community Outreach Volunteer, tailored for individuals aged 18 and above who harbor a keen interest in pursuing a career in environmental studies and outdoor recreation within the non-profit sector. Volunteers will be transported by boat to Calf Island and perform general maintenance with YMCA and US Fish & Wildlife staff.

Date: October 26 Time: 3:00p - 6:30p Age: 14+ Description: Celebrate the Halloween season at the Y for our annual Halloween party for the entire family. Volunteers will be needed to help with event setup, check-in, supervising activities (i.e. bounce house, craft table), and running games, such as “Pin the Hat on the Witch” or Pumpkin Pong.

Date: September 12, 2024 Time: 5:00p - 8:00p Age: 14+ Description: Volunteers will be needed to help with event setup, check-in, general supervision, and engaging participants in a variety of games, including whole group, small group, and partner games, such as Dodgeball, 4 Corners, Flag Tag , Jenga, Connect 4, Guess Who, and more.

Date: Sept. 27, Oct. 11, Nov. 15, Dec. 13 Time: 6:00p -8:30p Age: 14+ Description: Parents can take the night off, as the Y provides a fun night out for children ages 5-11. Volunteers will be needed to help with event setup, check-in, general supervision, and engaging participants in a variety of games.

Dates: September 30 - November 10; Mondays: (ages: 5-7); Saturdays (ages 8-10) Time: 4:30p - 6:15p (Mondays), 8:30a -10:15a (Saturdays) Age: 14+ Description: Help participants develop knowledge and skills in a variety of sports including basketball, soccer, volleyball, and football. Volunteers will assist the instructor with setup, supervision and class management, and running drills, activities, and games. Ideal volunteer will be able to attend at least 50% of the classes (6 classes) in this session.

The in-class instructor will help with setup and breakdown. Help be an extra set of eyes and help for the class instructor and get to know the participants. This may include assisting with putting on boxing gloves, moving chairs, helping with transitions, etc.

Join us for a full day of fun at the Y Vacation Camp. Volunteers will be needed for general supervision, program/activity support, and overall participant engagement.
